‘Star Wars’ actor Mark Hamill helped to raise funds for 500 drones for Ukraine

Actor Mark Hamill, known for playing the iconic hero Luke Skywalker, helped to raise funds for 500 drones for Ukraine. He said this in an interview on Bloomberg Radio’s Sound On.

“Very simply: Ukraine needs drones. They define war outcomes, they protect their land, their people, they monitor the border, they’re eyes in the sky,” stated the actor.

In September 2022, Hamill became an ambassador for the UNITED24 platform — initiative, which promotes fundraising to help Ukraine. He supports the Army of Drones project.
