Sweden to send up to ten Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

Sweden has pledged to send up to ten Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and HAWK anti-aircraft systems, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced on Feb. 24, 2023.

“Sweden is joining the “Leopard family” in support of Ukraine through Swedish Leopard 2 tanks. Today’s military package also includes further air defense components. We will continue to help Ukraine win the war,” the Swedish PM said. Also, Sweden announced another package of humanitarian and energy system support worth $50 million (SEK 520 million).
