Swedish scientists to create digital models of Cossack boats in the event of cultural heritage destruction by Russia
Representatives of Swedish science and museums came to the city of Zaporizhzhia to make digital copies of Cossack boats, Ukrinform reports. The boats are being digitised in case a Russian missile hits the hangar where they are stored. Archaeologists recovered an 18th-century Cossack boat from the bottom of the Dnipro River in 1998. The vessel is a cultural heritage of Ukraine. Although Swedish experts are aware of the dangers of staying in a frontline city, they say that the promise to support Ukraine made by the Swedish King more than 300 years ago still matters to them.
