Ten-hour power outages are a new reality for Kyiv because of latest Russian attacks
Long power outages are a new reality for Ukraine’s capital, Head of the YASNO energy provider Serhii Kovalenko reports on Facebook.
“The situation in Kyiv is difficult…All districts are suffering in the same way. Now all critical infrastructure — hospitals, water utility objects, and the subway — has been restored, and there is electricity for some 20% of the population,” he said.
According to Kovalenko, 10 hours without electricity in Kyiv is, unfortunately, a new reality.
On Dec. 19, 2022, Russia launched another massive drone attack on the Ukrainian capital. The Ukrainian army managed to shut down 30 of 35 incoming UAVs.
