The first penguin was born this season on the island of Ukrainian polar explorers

The first baby penguin was hatched this season on the island of Galindez, where the Ukrainian scientific station “Akademik Vernadsky” is located, the National Antarctic Scientific Center of Ukraine reports.

“It is incredibly cute, gray, and very tiny, and already squeaking subtly,” wrote the National Antarctic Scientific Center.

Polar scientists state that a penguin boom is expected later on the island.
