The German government agreed on a €65 billion package of aid to the population

The German coalition agreed on a third package of assistance to the population. The total amount of the agreed package is €65 billion. Students should receive a one-time payment of €200, pensioners — €300. Germany will provide €200 million in aid to Ukraine for displaced persons.

According to the German government, the planned measures will relieve all households — including pensioners, students, students of technical schools, and interns.

From January 1, 2023, the benefit for the first and second child will be increased by €18 per month. In addition, the maximum benefit per child will be increased again to €250 per month. At the beginning of 2023, the standard rates for the poor are to be increased to around €500.
