The mother of the fallen Ukrainian soldier Artem Dymyd sang the lullaby for him for the last time at the funeral

On June 18, 2022, Artem Dymyd was killed by mortar fire from Russian troops near Donetsk. He was a member of the Scout organization Plast, a graduate of Ukrainian Catholic University, the son of icon painter Ivanka Dymyd-Krypiakevych and the first rector of Ukrainian Catholic University, Reverend Mykhailo Dymyd. His great-grandfather, historian Ivan Krypiakevych, was an ally of the Ukrainian People’s Republic President, Mykhailo Hrushevskyi, and his second grandfather, Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church priest Artemii Tsehelskyi, was deported to Siberia by the Soviet authorities.

Artem was buried on June 21, 2022. At his funeral, his mother sang him a lullaby for the last time.
