The Netherlands will keep supporting Ukraine. Whatever is needed, however long it takes, Ukraine must win
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte visited Kyiv on Feb. 17, 2023, to show the solidarity of the Netherlands with Ukraine, as next week is exactly one year since Russia started its full-scale invasion of the independent country.
Ukraine is fighting for freedom, security and values of other countries, Rutte said during a press conference with Zelenskyy. “That is why the Netherlands will keep supporting Ukraine. Whatever is needed, however long it takes, you must win this,” Rutte said.
He also said that the Netherlands, along with Germany and Denmark, plans to transfer 100 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine as soon as they are ready for combat.
