The occupation court of Crimea sentenced one of the Crimean Tatar leaders, Nariman Dzhelyal, to 17 years in prison

Crimean occupation court sentenced Nariman Dzhelyal, First Deputy Head of the Mejlis — self-governing body of the Crimean Tatar people, to 17 years in prison and an $11,500 fine, as reported by the Crimean Human Rights Group on September 21, 2022.
The occupation court of Crimea also sentenced two activists — brothers Asan and Aziz Akhtemov. They received 15 and 13 years sentences and an $8,000 fine for each.
