The President of Poland arrived in Kyiv to participate in the second summit of the Crimean Platform

President of Poland Andrzej Duda arrived in Kyiv on the morning of August 23, 2022, to participate in the Second Crimean Platform Summit, which first of all was organized to increase the effectiveness of the international response to the ongoing Russian occupation of Crimea, and took on a new meaning after full-scale Russian invasion started in February, 2022.

Andrzej Duda will also meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. “During the visit, bilateral talks between the Presidents and delegations will take place on the situation in Ukraine, support in the military, economic and humanitarian dimension, and bilateral cooperation,” Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland reports. The visit of the President of the Republic of Poland takes place on the eve of the Independence Day of Ukraine. It is the fifth meeting of the Presidents of Poland and Ukraine this year and the third since the beginning of the war. Previous meetings were held on January 20-21 in Poland and February 23-24, April 13, and May 21-22 in Kyiv.
