The Second Summit of the Crimean Platform was held in Ukraine

The second summit of the Crimean Platform was held in Kyiv on August 23, 2022. While the first event last year gathered dozens of world leaders in Kyiv, this year because of brutal full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine, the summit was held online. Representatives of more than 60 countries took part in it.

The Crimea was set up to improve the effectiveness of the international response to the ongoing occupation of Crimea, responding to growing security threats, increasing international pressure on the Kremlin, preventing further rights violations and protecting victims of the occupation regime, as well as achieving the main goal – de-occupation of Crimea and its return to Ukraine. This year these purposes sounded even louder.

Here are key statements the world leaders made during the summit.
