The Sejm of the Republic of Poland called Putin a war criminal

The deputies expressed unwavering solidarity with the “free Ukrainian people and the democratic state of Ukraine.”

The Sejm of Poland condemns acts of genocide and systemic human rights violations committed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, and President Vladimir Putin has been called a war criminal. On March 23, 2022, the Seimas adopted a relevant resolution and called on all states to support the holding of trials in the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

The Sejm of Poland called on all states recognizing the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and right to self-determination of Ukraine to support by all means the initiation and conduct of trials in the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

They also called for the use of their powers in any international organizations to hold Putin, members of the Russian Security Council, and the commanders of the RF Armed Forces accountable.
