The St. Nicholas monument covered with sandbags turned into the New Year “tree” in Mykolaiv

The administration of Mykolaiv invited the people to decorate the Saint Nicholas monument with toys to make a military New Year “tree”. This was reported in Telegram by Oleksandr Senkevych, the mayor of Mykolaiv.

“This year, we didn’t have any plans to decorate a Christmas tree. However, the composition itself made us think that the St. Nicholas monument might be used as the New Year tree covered with safety sandbags. This idea was “in the air,” and the volunteers who wished to embody that helped us create this Christmas tree,” added Senkevych.
