The US will allocate $53 million to support the energy system in Ukraine

The United States will provide $53 million to support the acquisition of critical electricity grid equipment for Ukraine, U.S. State Department announced.

According to the reports, this equipment will be rapidly delivered to Ukraine on an emergency basis to help Ukrainians persevere through the winter. This supply package will include distribution transformers, circuit breakers, surge arresters, disconnectors, vehicles, and other essential equipment.

The funding adds to the existing $55 million for emergency energy sector support.
