The world demands: Arm Ukraine now!

The 229th day of Russia’s war in Ukraine brought with it the most massive country-wide bout of shelling since February 24th. Having witnessed Russia’s attack on dozens of civilian objects on October 10, targeting residential buildings, universities, and playgrounds, the world has rallied around pronouncing Russia as a terrorist state.

In April, 2022, Ukrainians around the world called on the world to unite and help us fight Russia’s cruel aggression by providing Ukraine with weapons. The world responded – and united to provide weapons to Ukraine. Many countries that have never supplied weapons to conflict zones in modern history changed their position after the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression, and some states even changed their national legislation for this purpose.

For over seven months now, Ukraine continues to courageously resist Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked aggression against Ukraine and Ukrainian forces continue to liberate town after town. By providing Ukraine with more weapons, the world helps us maintain our defence of democracy and freedom. After the mass attacks on October 10, a number of world leaders called for an increase in arms supplies to Ukraine.

An aggressor who destroys civilian infrastructure and kills civilians understands only the language of force, not diplomacy.
