The world-famous light artist Gerry Hofstetter lit up the buildings of the Ukrainian capital
A light art tour by Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter took place in Kyiv. Using his own generator, the artist lit up the buildings of the capital’s cultural sites to bring hope and light to Ukrainians in these dark days.
So, on Dec. 23 and 25, from 4 to 10 p.m., St. Andrew’s Church, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, the bell tower of the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, the bell tower of St. Sophia’s Cathedral, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, as well as the Church of St. Nicholas, the Central Railway Station, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine were lit up.
The project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the State Agency of Ukraine on Arts and Artistic Education, Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, Embassy of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
