The head of the village Halyna having stumbled upon a row of Russian tanks on the outskirts of the village of Fenevychi, Kyiv region, courageously defended the right of her village to be Ukrainian with the words: “I command here. Do not touch my people, do not enter the village!”
During the Russian occupation, the head of the village cycled around every morning. She fed, calmed, and brought medicine to those who needed it.
Also, Halyna saved local women from sexual violence by Russian soldiers.
