EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said after his visit to Kyiv on April 8 that European Union needs to continue to increase its pressure on Russia. “We have imposed massive sanctions already but more needs to be done on the energy sector, incl oil,” said Borrell on Twitter.

He also added that an additional €500 million from the European Peace Facility are underway.

“This war will be won on the battlefield,” said Borrell on Twitter. “Ukraine will prevail and rise back even stronger. And the EU will continue to stand by you, every step of the way.”
