Thousands of singers in Estonia gathered for the Ukraine benefit concert

Thousands of singers in Estonia gathered for the Ukraine benefit concert to sing and #SupportUkraine. The song “Oi u Luzi Chervona Kalyna” was adapted into a four-part choir song by composer Jonas Tarm and conducted by Hirvo Surva. The song by Stepan Charnetsky was made viral by Andrii Khlyvniuk and has been performed by many musicians around the world.

Choral singing has always been a powerful cultural phenomenon that Estonians have repeatedly used in their fight for freedom. Singers came from all corners of Estonia to send the power of song to help Ukrainians in their struggle.
