Torture chambers were discovered in several settlements in Kharkiv region, where the Russians held people in absolutely inhumane conditions.
“In the territory of several settlements of Kharkiv region, we discovered, with the help of the local population, torture chambers in which our fellow citizens and foreigners were held in absolutely inhumane conditions. In particular, there were citizens of one of the Asian countries, foreign students, who tried to leave for the territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine,” First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin told Radio NV in an interview, Ukrinform reports.
The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, showed one of the torture chambers in Izium on his Telegram channel. According to him, more than 70% of the buildings in the city were destroyed by Russians.
