Two civilians dead in Russia’s attacks on residential areas in Luhansk region on April 22, 2022
Two people were killed, and one person was injured in the Russian shelling of Popasna in the Luhansk region, according to Serhii Haidai, the Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, on Telegram:
“On April 22, 2022, the Russian army fired on the Luhansk region residential areas 12 times. Popasna bore the brunt of this. In the evening, a 66-year-old man was killed and his wife was injured. Also in this city, one more person sustained life-threatening injuries.”
Street fights have been going on in Popasna for several weeks now. Also, the Russian army is constantly shelling residential buildings and private houses in the city. On April 22, 2022, the locals withstood five artillery attacks by the Russian occupying forces.
As a result of the shelling, houses in Popasna, Lysychansk, and Novodruzhesk have been destroyed.
