Two million Ukrainians were deported by Russia, many children among them
Various statistics exist regarding the number of children that were forcibly evicted from Ukraine by Russia, but in general, it is believed that roughly 2 million Ukrainian residents, including many children, were deported. According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement during an interview with French television networks TF1 and LCI.
“Several million people — women, children, and the elderly — were deported, ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 of whom had names, surnames, or other identifying information recorded. We estimate that up to 2 million people — many of them children. Lots of kids were taken captive,” the president said.
