Two Ukrainian veterans are on a bike ride across Europe to remind people about the war in Ukraine

Two Ukrainian veterans, Ivan Balashov and Anatoliy Veresenko, decided to organize a bike ride through Europe to draw attention to the war and the rehabilitation of the military.

Balashov is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan and an athlete; Veresenko defended Ukraine after Russia started its invasion in 2014 and is now involved in military personnel rehabilitation.

In European cities, veterans will meet with emigrants from Ukraine living abroad, veterans and representatives of the authorities. In total, they will ride over 1,500 kilometers.

The last city will be Darmstadt (Germany). It is a twin city of Uzhhorod. There, the participants of the bicycle race will hand over to the mayor a flag signed by military personnel receiving treatment in Uzhhorod.
