U.S. President congratulated Ukraine’s Center for Civil Liberties on winning the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize

U.S. President Joe Biden congratulated the winners of the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize.

“On behalf of the American people, I congratulate Ales Bialiatski of Belarus, Ukraine’s Center for Civil Liberties, and the Russian organization Memorial on this deserved honor,” he stated.

Joe Biden noted the role of the Center for Civil Liberties during the Russian-Ukrainian war.

“In the midst of Russia’s brutal and unprovoked war against Ukraine, the Center for Civil Liberties is documenting in real time the war crimes and atrocities Russia is inflicting on the Ukrainian people,” he stated.
