UK holds a minute’s silence to mark the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine

A minute’s silence was held across the UK to mark the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has led the country in a minute of silence. He was joined outside the Prime Minister’s Office by his wife, Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK, Vadym Prystaiko, and dozens of Ukrainian troops being trained by the UK.

Former UK PM Boris Johnson, alongside London Mayor Sadiq Khan, lit a candle inside the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in London. Leader of the Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer, also took part in the moment of tribute.
