Ukraine banned Russian music in public places and media

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine banned the public reproduction of Russian music in the media and public transport and increased the quota for Ukrainian music on radio and television.

The bill proposes to ban tours with performers of Russian citizenship and prohibit playing music and other audio signals in transport, except for travel information. At the same time, the bill increases the quota for songs in the Ukrainian language from 35% to 40%.
