President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen reaffirmed solidarity with Ukraine on the first anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion.

“You are fighting for freedom, for democracy, and for your place in the European Union. We are with you for as long as it takes,” stated the President of the European Commission.

“Ukraine has become the center of our continent. The place where our values are upheld, where our freedom is defended, where the future of Europe is written,” she added.
