Ukraine has been admitted to the European Union’s language space

The European Federation of National Language Institutions (EFNIL) General Assembly unanimously decided to grant Ukraine the status of an associate member. Taras Kremin, the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, announced this. Today, the front line of Ukraine’s struggle is also the front line of the Ukrainian language’s establishment. As a result, joining the continental family of language institutions is a great honor for us, according to the ombudsman. The European Federation of National Language Institutions (EFNIL) brings together the national language institutions of the EU member states. The main tasks are to monitor language legislation compliance, protect state languages, collect materials on language policy in the EU, and encourage the study of official European languages for linguistic and cultural diversity in the EU.
