Ukraine has sent almost half of its agricultural exports via the grain corridor

Ukraine has sent more than 6.2 million tonnes of agricultural products in more than two months of the “grain corridor” initiative, accounting for 48% of the total agricultural exports, Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

“Before Russia invaded Ukraine, 80-90% of all agricultural exports were delivered through seaports. When they were blocked, we had to redistribute export flows to rail, trucks, ferries, and river ports. To date, thanks to the corridor, more than 270 ships loaded with 6.2 million tonnes of cargo, accounting for 48% of the total agricultural export, have left Ukraine,” Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine said.
