Ukraine headed the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources

Ukraine took over as chair of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet reported on Telegram.

“It is a significant scientific success for Ukraine.
The 41st meeting of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources ended in Australia, during which Ukraine took over the chair of this organization,” the minister claimed.

This is the first time Ukraine has headed the Commission since becoming its member in 1994. Ukrainian diplomat Vitalii Tsymbaliuk will represent the country as chair of this Commission for the next two years.
