Ukraine is the most mined country in the world

Damage to Ukraine’s environment caused by Russia’s armed aggression exceeds approximately $51 billion, Ukraine’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets told Voice of America. According to the minister, 5 million people in Ukraine do not have access to drinking water. And another 70% of the population may be left without water due to Russia’s actions. Currently, 88% of irrigated territories are already under Russian occupation, and 35% of the territory has been affected by hostilities, which affects global food security.
