Ukraine lost 90% of wind and 40% of solar electricity generation in 2022
Ukraine lost 90% of its wind and up to 40% of its solar generation in 2022 due to Russian missile attacks, Ukrainian Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko has announced.
“The load on heat generation will be maintained throughout the year. The Russians occupied our largest nuclear power plant — ZNPP. In addition, because of Russians, we lost about 90% of wind generation and up to 40% of solar generation. Thus, thermal generation will carry a significant load,” said Galushchenko.
