Ukraine managed to return over 300 Ukrainian children from the territories temporarily occupied by Russia

As many as 307 children have been returned from the territories temporarily occupied by Russia, Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported on Mar. 6, 2023.

Also, according to Ukraine’s Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories, several days ago, two more Ukrainians were brought home from the territory of the Russian Federation. They are cousins. One of them is a 15-year-old boy.

The boys are from the Kherson region. Russian invaders insidiously offered the mother of a boy to send him to Russia “for rehabilitation.” Instead, he was taken for months.

“The boy was used as a hostage. They carried out psychological and ‘educational’ work on him, trying to separate him from his mother and homeland forever. It took incredible effort to break the boy out of this trap and convince him to return home,” the ministry informed.
