Ukraine received over 300,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid in two months
“From the first days of March to May 2022, Ukraine received more than 304,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid. About 24,000 tonnes arrived last week,” Darya Zarivna, adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said at a briefing.
As noted, the international community continues to raise funds to help Ukraine. According to Zarivna, money comes from foreign state institutions and individuals through the structures of the United Nations and international charitable foundations and used to help Ukrainian refugees in different countries.
These funds are spent on humanitarian aid, which arrives in Ukraine and is distributed by regional humanitarian hubs.
