Ukraine resumes exports of electricity

Herman Halushchenko, Minister of Energy of Ukraine, has authorized the start of the process of reinstating electricity exports under circumstances of excess generating capacity. The Ministry of Energy reported this on Telegram.
“With a capacity reserve, the Ukrainian electricity system has been running for approximately two months without any customer constraints. Thanks to the outstanding effort of our international partners, the power engineers, who assisted in system restoration, we were able to achieve this achievement. The most challenging winter is over. The next phase is the launch of power export, which will enable us to attract more financial resources for the essential energy infrastructure restoration,” said Halushchenko.
