Ukraine returns 14-year-old girl abducted by Russia

14-year-old Veronika, who was abducted by Russians, has been returned home, as announced by Ukraine’s Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets. Now, the girl is safe and healthy with her grandmother.

“Veronika was taken to the Russian Federation after a terrorist country invaded Ukraine. With horror and tears in her eyes, her grandmother remembers what she had to go through to return her granddaughter to her native land,” Lubinets said.

Now the girl will undergo rehabilitation and receive all necessary medical and psychological support.
