Ukraine returns 16 children from Kherson region, previously deported to Russia by invaders
Volunteers from “Save Ukraine” managed to return 16 children from the Kherson region. Earlier, they were deported to different Russian cities by Russian invaders.
According to the head of the organization, Mykola Kuleba, children were forcibly taken from their families and sent to Russia and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, allegedly to children’s camps.
Children were away from their parents for months, several of them for almost a year.
“The emotions of mothers and children were ineffable at the moment they met and when they found themselves in Ukraine. Painful and joyful at the same time. And it’s so good that they are finally together,” said Kuleba.
