Ukraine should enter EU as soon as possible

President of Italy Sergio Mattarella reiterated Italy’s support for Ukraine during the meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Apr. 25, 2023. “Italy is strongly in favor of Ukraine’s adhesion to the European Union as soon as possible,” Mattarella said, Ansa reports.

The Italian President also reaffirmed support for Ukraine’s independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty. “Everyone wants peace, but it must be a just peace that respects Ukraine’s integrity,” added Mattarella.
