Ukraine to receive €1 billion macro-financial assistance from EU to support its government and people at the end of July 2022

Ukraine and the European Union signed a memorandum on providing the first €1 billion tranche of macro-financial assistance, Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for an Economy, reported on Twitter.
“Signing Memorandum of Understanding with Ukraine on behalf of EU to provide €1 billion macro-financial assistance as emergency funding. This will be paid out end-July to support Ukraine’s government and people. Ukraine is an economy at war. The EU is here to help,” Dombrovskis wrote.
