Ukraine will receive a total of $2.8 billion from the International Monetary Fund

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine has an agreement with the IMF to start work on a new special program. “We expect that the Mission to Ukraine will start in October this year, and the program itself — next year. This year, Ukraine will receive a total of $2.8 billion from the Fund,” he said during the governmental session.

According to Shmyhal, Ukraine will also get $500 million from Britain for gas purchases, thus allowing Ukraine to strengthen its resilience for this heating season.
