Ukraine wins first gold at Universiade 2023

Ukrainian snowboarder Mykhailo Haruk has won gold at the Universiade 2023 after becoming first in the parallel giant slalom.

With a result of 29.89 in the final, he overtook Austria’s Matteus Pink.

This is the fourth medal received by the Ukrainian national team at the Universiade 2023, which is taking place in and near Lake Placid, New York, from Jan. 12-22, 2023.
