Ukraine wins gold and bronze medals at European Athletics Indoor Championships in women’s high jump

Ukraine won gold and bronze medals at European Athletics Indoor Championships in the women’s high jump in Turkey.

Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh defended her title with a 1.98 m clearance. Kateryna Tabashnyk won the bronze medal with a 1.94m clearance.

Tabashnyk dedicated her bronze medal to her mother, who was killed in a Russian missile strike in Kharkiv. “This medal carries all my pain and sorrow,” stated the Ukrainian athlete.
