Ukraine won the first gold medal at the Invictus Games

The Ukrainian national team won the first gold medal at the Invictus Games, which started in The Hague. Rodion Sitdikov won the “gold” in the shot put with a result of 9.46 meters.

The Invictus Games is an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans, founded by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. During the opening speech of the competition he praised the bravery of Ukrainian national team, which “came to be on this global stage, not simply to show your strength, but to tell your truth, the truth, of what is happening in the country.”
