Ukrainian Anastasiya Merkushyna wins gold in the sprint at the biathlon European Championship

Ukrainian biathlete Anastasiya Merkushyna became a gold medalist in the sprint at the biathlon European Championship in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.

“I feel like I made something for my country…the anthem of my country and the flag will rise among the stadium,” the athlete shared her emotions after winning.

Merkushyna’s Gold is Ukraine’s third medal in Lenzerheide.
