Ukrainian band “Druha Rika” goes on a charity tour of Europe to raise funds for the Armed Forces
“At the initiative of European promoters, the Ukrainian rock band “Druha Rika” goes on a charity tour ‘Who, if not us?’ The tour aims to raise funds for the victims of hostilities in Ukraine caused by Russia’s military aggression and to purchase tactical ammunition for the military,” the band’s press service said.
After the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the musicians devoted all their time to volunteering. After posting a photo of his house destroyed by Russian invaders, the band’s leader Valerii Kharchyshyn began raising funds for ammunition for the military unit his brother joined. In a few days, the musician raised 1 million UAH. Later, this initiative grew into the band’s online concert called “Mariupol.” It managed to raise more than 600,000 UAH for tactical ammunition for another military unit.
The charity tour will start at the end of April 2022, with concerts in the Baltic States and the Czech Republic.
