Ukrainian-Canadian band ‘Balaklava Blues’ gave dozens of charity concerts in Europe, Canada, and America. Last week, Balaklava Blues had a charity performance on the main stage of one of Europe’s biggest festivals, Colors of Ostrava, in the Czech Republic. Their performance gathered 60,000 spectators. They have raised 500,000 Canadian dollars for Ukraine at concerts and charity events.

Balaklava Blues also created a video for the song “Swallow,” dedicating this song to women forced to leave their homes with their children due to the Russian invasion.

Balaklava Blues, composed of a couple, Mark and Marichka Marczyk, met during the Revolution of Dignity in 2014 and left the eastern front after combat medic training to fight on the cultural front showcasing Ukrainian music, language, and culture globally.
