Ukrainian canoeist Lyudmila Luzan became the world champion in rowing

Ukrainian rower Lyudmila Luzan won gold in a single canoe at the World Championships in Halifax, Canada. Luzan won the final swim in the 1000m sprint.

The Ukrainian overcame the distance in 4:47.90, ahead of the nearest pursuer Maria Mailliard from Chile, by more than two seconds.
