Ukrainian craftswomen decorate helmets with Petrykivka painting

Ukrainian Museum of the History of Petrykivka Painting and Folk Crafts showed the helmets painted with modern Petrykivka paintings.

“Ukrainian craftswomen do not stop creating beauty even in dark times,” stated the museum.

Petrykivka painting is a Ukrainian decorative-ornamental style. It originated from the village of Petrykivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine. Petrykivka painting was widely used to decorate house walls and everyday household items. In 2013, it entered the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
