The defense and security forces of Ukraine call on the world to prevent Russia’s illegal trial of the captured defenders of Mariupol. It is stated in a joint statement.

“We demand to immediately send representatives of the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross to the places where Ukrainian prisoners of war are kept, primarily to Olenivka,” the joint statement says.

More than 2,500 defenders of Mariupol are in Russian captivity. Earlier, Mariupol City Council reported that Russians are preparing to hold a show trial of captured Ukrainian military personnel.
