Ukrainian forces continue defending Soledar in and around the city

Ukrainian forces are still defending Soledar; therefore, it is unlikely to be captured by Russians. The enemy is currently focusing its efforts towards the Bakhmut direction.

According to Ukrinform, the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhii Cherevatyi, said this on the air of the national news telethon.

“The aggressor’s primary attack continues to target Ukraine’s east. The enemy has focused its primary efforts in the Bakhmut direction, particularly in the Soledar area where the battle is taking place. Ukrainian forces continue to hold the line in the city and on the approaches,” he stated.
